We are breaking for a stop and you can purchase the National Park tickets at the Corrobboree Road House. Our first chance to see buffalos and admire some crocodile history from the close by Corrobboree billabong.
From here we drive into Kakadu National Park and our next stop will be at Nourlangie (Burrungkuy). This 1.5-kilometer circular walk takes us past ancient Aboriginal shelters and several outstanding art sites with Aboriginal Rock Art, dating back as far as 20.000 years.
Being a very small group, we can take you on an intimate, small walking tour around various Aboriginal rock art, at Nourlangie (Burrungkuy) and you will hear the stories of the local Bininj people. Their storylines have been passed down from generation to generation and you will have the time to stand back and take it all in. For the more adventurous group members, a fantastic look out to the Arnhem land escarpment awaits you.
Returning to the air-conditioned 4WD, we will provide iced cold water to you, before traveling further down south towards Yellow Water Billabong (Ngurrungurrudjba), where you will join a local guide for a 1.5-hour cruise. You will have the chance to spot saltwater crocodiles, and a range of colorful bird life, like Jacanas, Black neck storks, and Brolgas as well as white-bellied sea eagles. To recap all you have seen and heard today we will visit the Warradjan Culture Centre, which has been built in the shape of a pig-nosed turtle.
