This 3-day tour package offers an exciting itinerary for visitors to Kakadu and Litchfield National Park. The first day begins with a visit to the ancient Aboriginal Rock Art sites and a cruise along the East Alligator River. Day two includes visiting Nourlangie Rock and the Warradjan Culture Centre before a stunning cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong. Day 3 is a day of fun, swimming, walking, and enjoying the beauty Litchfield National Park has to offer. Our last stop will be at Berry Spring’s hot springs before arriving in Darwin in the early evening.

Join Us…

Day 1: Pick up at your hotel will be around 6 am to make the most of your first day in Kakadu National Park, one of Australia’s biggest Parks, with nearly 20.000 square meter. We will break at Corroberree Roadhouse, and you will have the first opportunity to see buffalos. From there we make our way to one of the most stunning Aboriginal Rock Art sites, Kakadu National Park has to offer. We will go for an interpretive walk through a lovely gallery of Aboriginal Rock Art, dating back at least 20.000 years. The top of Ubirr, which is reached with a reasonable fitness level, offers a breathtaking 360-degree view over the Nadab wetlands and towards the Arnhem land escarpment.  

 

After a morning of exercise, we break for a delicious pick-nick lunch. Thereafter we will drive you to the East Alligator River. We will stop at the famous Cahill Crossing, the only way to get into Arnhem land by road. The new platform invites you to spot the saltwater crocodiles waiting for their next catch. The river cruise is guided by a local indigenous guide from Arnhem land and they invite you to learn about their culture. You even will have the chance to step onto Arnhem land. 

After an exciting first day, we will drop you off at your hotel for an evening at your own leisure. 

Includes: National Park tickets, walk at Ubirr, Aboriginal Rock Art walk, morning tea and lunch, cold water all day and healthy refreshments, 1-night accommodation in Kakadu National Park. East Alligator River cruise (1.5 hours) optional.

Day 2: We will pick you up after breakfast to start another exciting day with a short drive through the township of Jabiru, the main and only township in Kakadu National Park. Our first stop will be at Nourlangie (Burrunkuy) where we embark on a 1.5-hour interpretive walk and see, hear, and learn more about ancient Rock Art. We share the stories of the local Binjin people, while we enjoy more stunning views over NourlangieRock and the Arnhem land escarpment. We will serve you a morning tea after our walk before we continue our journey to the south. Our next stop will be at the interpretive Warradjan Culture Centre, which has a very interesting display of history, hunting stories, and other cultural aspects. 

After our lunch, we will drive you to the jetty, from where you will be departing on your famous Yellow Water Billabong cruise. 

This Billabong is teaming with a great variety of bird life, saltwater crocodiles, and endless carpets of waterlilies. This 1.5-hour cruise will be conducted by a local guide. After your pickup from your cruise, we offer light refreshments, before we drive to Kathrine. Overnight in Kathrine. 

Includes: Walk at Nourlangie, visit the Warradjan Culture Centre, Yellow Water Billabong cruise (1.5 hours), morning tea, lunch and dinner, 1-night accommodation, cold water all day, and healthy refreshments. 

 

Day 3: Our last day is filled with walking and swimming in Litchfield National park. Please remember to pack your swim gear today. 

We continue through Batchelor, a small township, before entering Litchfield National Park, which offers pristine creeks, water holes, and cascading waterfalls. We will break for a delicious gourmet lunch close to the waterfall.

Our personalise small tours will give you the option to have a swim, walk or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery, while you watch the surrounding bird life and plentiful small fish. We also include a visit to the Magnetic and Cathedral termite mounds, with the opportunity of a close-up picture with you.

Your professional guide loves photography and makes you look your best on every picture. After a day of visiting Wangi and Florence Falls, as well as Buley Rockhole we make our way back to Darwin.

Included: Full commentary from an experienced guide with a great knowledge about history and flora and flora, a delicious picnic lunch, iced water, and snacks all day, traveling in a Toyota 4WD.
