Spending your Kakadu National Park tour with us in the World Heritage-listed and one of Australia’s largest National Parks; will impress you with its diversity of cultural landscape and outstanding natural beauty. You will be amazed by the rich wildlife, flora, and fauna.
We will pick you up from your hotel and travel in our comfortable, air-conditioned Toyota 4WD, or alternative vehicle if necessary, to Kakadu National Park.
We are breaking for a stop and you can purchase the National Park tickets at the Corrobboree Road House. Our first chance to see buffalos and admire some crocodile history from the Corrobboree Billabong.
From here we drive into Kakadu National Park and our next stop will be at Nourlangie (Burrungkuy). This 1.5-kilometer circular walk takes us past ancient Aboriginal shelters and several outstanding art sites with Aboriginal Rock Art galleries, dating back as far as 20.000 years ago.
Being a very small group, we can take you on an intimate, small walking tour around various Aboriginal rock art, at Nourlangie (Burrungkuy) and you will hear the stories of the local Bininj people. Their storylines have been passed down from generation to generation and you will have the time to stand back and take it all in. For the more adventurous group members, a fantastic look out to the Arnhem land escarpment awaits you.
Returning to your air-conditioned 4WD, we will provide you with iced cold water, before traveling further down south towards Yellow Water Billabong (Ngurrungurrudjba), where you will join a local guide for a 1.5-hour cruise. You will have the chance to spot saltwater crocodiles, and a range of colorful bird life, like Jacanas, Black neck storks, and Brolgas as well as white-bellied sea eagles. To recap on all that you have seen and heard today we will visit the Warradjan Culture Centre, which has been built in the shape of a pig-nosed turtle. A fresh picnic lunch will be served between your attractions in the South Alligator region.
After an exciting full day in Kakadu National Park, we offer you some light refreshments and make our way back to Darwin. We will be making a further stop where you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the official Kakadu National Park sign.
As another glorious day in the Top End draws to a close, we invite you to sit back and relax in comfort, as we return you to your accommodation in Darwin; awash with vivid long-lasting memories of your unforgettable experience with us at KNP.
